In January 2020 Dr. Rosenblum joined the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) as the Director of Research. With colleagues throughout the United States, she has conducted research on the impact of COVID-19 on individuals with vision loss. Dr. Rosenblum has published and presented widely on topics including nondriving, braille literacy, Nemeth code, and graphics literacy. Prior to joining AFB, she was a faculty member at the University of Arizona for 20 years where she prepared teachers of students with visual impairments. From 2012-2019 she was the project director for two Institute of Sciences grants that focused on increasing middle school level students with visual impairments’ math skills.
